My grandmother was a teacher in India in the late 1900s. Her curiosity and willingness to learn more information were what drove her to become a teacher. There were many barriers that prevented her from gaining higher education, but she still pushed through. Today, even though she is at the age of 64, every time I talk to her on the phone, she still asks me to teach her what I am learning in school. Even without having the job as a teacher, her curiosity is still present and she keeps wanting to learn new information. She ttaught me that a person can be willing to learn new information even if they have many problems that prevent them. One can ignore problems, financial or age-related problems, and keep trying to gain more information.
