What is poverty?
It is the miserable state of many people in the world who are suffering because of the insufficient money that they get in their livelihood. It is the work of the government to check that no worker is paid very little salary. In India the government has passed the minimum wages act on 15 March 1948 to ensure that each and every worker is paid fairly for the work he/she has done. Even though the government has passed this law in 1948 in many parts of our country the workers are still being paid less wages. This can be avoided if the government takes strict action against the people who violate this act. Also, NO POVERTY is the UN SDG number 1. So, it should be strictly followed. Not only in India, but poverty should be removed from the whole world. There are many ways on how poverty can be ended in the world. The government can do many things for this. The government can conduct secrete CBI raids to check the places where the workers are paid very less wages. If found guilty the owner of that site can be highly fined and even can be imprisoned. As the government is taking many sort of taxes , a small amount of these can be invested to improve the lives of the poor. On a average the government of India collects RS 18.10 lakh crores on taxes in a year. But the corrupt government takes a large amount as black money. If this is avoided the condition of the poor will be better and the SDG goal number 1 will not remain as a dream. Not only in India if corruption is avoided in every country , there will be a gorgeous world of no poverty .
