Novel way to ‘No Poverty’

Eradicating extreme poverty all over the world by the year 2030 is the goal of SDG 1 No Poverty. However, it is a tedious task that is easier said than done, and the deadline is fast approaching with very little signs of change in poverty levels. There are, of course, few things that can be done by the government as well as the public themselves. Every person’s contribution is important to the reduction of poverty in the world. As much as it is easy to blame the existing poverty on the government, it is as much our responsibility as it is theirs, to help eradicate poverty. The main cause of poverty is inequality. Eradication of inequality in the world is necessary to eliminate poverty in the world. Inequality in workplaces sometimes leads to unemployment, which ultimately results in poverty. Increasing access to education for all can also be a way to reduce poverty in the world. Education leads to development of skills, which leads to more employment and less poverty. However, in support of this, more job opportunities must also be created in order to reduce unemployment.

And, of course, one thing that has been the major cause of poverty for years, is war. War and conflict leads to ripping apart of families, tearing them apart cruelly to fend for themselves. This is a huge contributor to poverty, as all war-torn families end up on the streets, in order to get enough money to buy food. Such meaningless war and conflict must be ended – it is the one way to achieve the dream of eliminating all poverty in the world by the end of 2030.
