EmpowerAssist : The world-changing app

In a country well-governed, poverty is something to be ashamed of. Poverty has become a handicap for the development of the world. According to the World Bank, as of 2021, around 9.2% of the global population lives in extreme poverty, defined as living on less than $1.90 per day. This translates to approximately 700 million people worldwide. Poverty is not evenly distributed globally. Africa has the highest poverty rate, with over 40% of the population living in extreme poverty. South Asia also has a significant number of people living in poverty. Poverty not only affects the way of living in adults but also drastically ruins many young lives. Children are disproportionately affected by poverty. UNICEF reports that nearly half of the world’s extreme poor are children. Poverty significantly impacts children’s access to education, healthcare, nutrition, and overall well-being.

Rural areas are the most affected parts where poverty is prevalent almost everywhere. Hence, I would like to propose a solution where the rural community and the orphan children are benefitted. I propose creating an app which links the NGOs and NPOs which are focused on developingthe rural part with the local self-governments in the rural areas. This app would enable the NGOs and NPOs to connect with the people and put up various camps near the villages and help the development by providing medical and educational provisions. Educating the people would increase the number or job opportunities and help them stand on their own by making a living. The education must focus on the fundamental basics of writing, reading, and arithmetic skills. It can further include knowledge on first aid, financial literacy, and enhanced sustainable farming practices, crop diversification, water management, and livestock management which increase productivity and the quality of our lives.
